Hisashi Tanaka is a medical student in Hokkaido, Japan. He does volunteer work at a hospital. In his time there, he gets to know the upbeat Yasuaki Kano, who has suffered from muscular dystrophy since he was 12-years-old. Yasuaki Kano is a little eccentric, doing things like running out of the hospital and wanting to eat a banana late at night.
